The inaugural event was put together in 8 months, and held in August 2010 in the Quad Cities Region of IL/IA. We had outstanding attendance of 65 G8s from all over the US, and 1 attendee from Canada This may be the International G8 Meet, but we are also welcoming our "Holden Cousins" the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTOs (based off the Holden Monaro) that were built in the same plant by Holden Australia as our Pontiac G8s (based off the Holden Commodore).

The 2011 event was held on Sept 9-11, 2011. The 2nd annual National G8 Meet (G.O.N.E. - G8 Owners National Event) was held that weekend in Bettendorf, IA. We held the event in the same location as last year. Additional details are on the other pages of this website, with pictures of the 2011 event coming soon!

Alright folks, I received the contract from the Isle of Capri that gives details and rates. They are offering us the larger section of the upper parking deck for Friday Sept 9 AND Saturday Sept 10, and if we get enough registrations, I will ask for the whole thing. That way we have secured parking for our cars and reserved show space. They are offering us a meeting room that seats up to 50 for our use for seminars from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday Sept 10. Lastly, we have Salon B (seats up to 80) for the awards ceremony on Sunday Sept 11. They also got us rates at/below last year for rooms, and they are booking us all into the newer north tower.

Hotel Rates are as follows: Wed & Thur - $89 per night single/double occupancy, $99 per night triple occupancy, $109 per night quad occupancy. Fri & Sat - $109 per night single/double occupancy, $119 per night triple occupancy, $129 per night quad occupancy. They have 10 rooms set aside for Wednesday (for "early birds"), 30 for Thursday, and 45 for Friday & Saturday.

All group rate reservations must be made before August 24, 2011.  Note: "This is how your reservations need to be made by the group to ensure the guarantee of hotel rooms. Have your guests call 1-800-theisle (1-800-843-4753) and have them identify themselves as group code IPG0907 for reservations."

If you are coming, please book your rooms ASAP. That way there will be time to block more rooms if demand requires.
